Digital minister: Russia to charge for foreign software use in 2024

MOSCOW, Jun 20 (PRIME) -- Russia will launch a mechanism of financial deductions for the use of software by the foreign vendors that left the country in 2024, Digital Development Minister Maksut Shadayev said on Tuesday at CNews Forum Cases.

“I mean unlicensed software,” Shadayev said.

“Only those will pay who wants to use foreign software of the producers that left our market…The bill is almost ready.”
